From purchase order to perfectly packed badges — here’s how we make sure every project runs like clockwork.

You’ve approved your design, you’re excited to see your badges come to life, and you’ve signed off on your quote. So what happens next?

At Rocket Badge, placing your order is just the start of a carefully managed process that blends precision, communication, and quality control at every stage. Here’s a peek behind the curtain at how we turn your order into reality — seamlessly, safely, and on time.

Step 1: Your Order Becomes a Production Plan

Once your order is confirmed, our production team springs into action. Your account manager converts the quote into a formal order and assigns it to our production coordinators, who create a Purchase Order (PO) — the document that kicks off manufacturing.

Every PO is double-checked and approved internally before it ever reaches a factory. We specify the materials, plating, packaging, and — crucially — the delivery date your project needs to hit.

If your order’s bound for the EU or Channel Islands, we also prepare a Certificate of Origin to ensure a smooth customs process.

Step 2: Proof, Sample, Approve

Before production begins, our suppliers send us a digital or physical proof of your badge. For UK and European factories, that’s usually a high-resolution PDF. For Far East suppliers, we request detailed photos or a physical sample.

Nothing goes into full production until both you and our internal team sign off the proof. It’s our way of catching potential issues early — before metal is struck or enamel poured.

Step 3: Making Your Badges

Once the proof is approved, your badge goes into production. The exact process depends on the style — from hard enamel to soft enamel, die-struck metal or printed finishes — but the principle is the same: precision at every stage.

Our production team stays in constant contact with the factory, confirming plating finishes, checking colour fills, and tracking every key date. We even specify whether your order ships by air or sea, balancing speed, cost, and environmental impact.

Step 4: Independent Quality Inspections

For larger orders, we take things a step further. We commission third-party quality inspections through independent auditors who assess everything from colour accuracy to attachment strength.

Their reports go straight to our production managers for review before dispatch approval is given. If anything doesn’t meet our standards, it doesn’t leave the factory.

Step 5: Tracking and Logistics

As soon as production wraps up, we receive the invoice, packing list, and tracking number from the factory. For air freight, we typically ship via DHL using our corporate account; for sea freight, we partner with experienced logistics firms to manage clearance and delivery.

We monitor every shipment daily until it arrives safely at our warehouse or directly with your client — all handled under strict plain cover to protect your brand.

Step 6: Final Checks Before Dispatch

When goods arrive, our Dispatch Administrator checks them against your order details. Quantities, packaging, and condition are all inspected. The Sales Account Manager personally reviews the goods before they leave our doors to ensure they match your approved pre-production sample exactly.

Only after those final checks are signed off do we send your badges out for delivery — via DHL, UPS, or same-day courier — depending on what works best for your timeline.

Step 7: Transparent Communication, Start to Finish

We believe communication is part of quality. From design approval to doorstep delivery, we keep you informed. Every job has a detailed digital “Job Bag” in our system that tracks every action, document, and approval. So if you ever want to know where your badges are, we can tell you — instantly.

That’s Our Production Promise

When you choose Rocket Badge, you’re not just ordering custom enamel badges. You’re getting a process refined over 35 years — combining speed, precision, and care with the kind of communication that makes you feel in control.

Because we know your badge represents your brand. And that means it has to be perfect.
