Artwork Design and Modifications

The Rocket Badge’s in-house design studio is run by a team of highly experienced badge designers and artworkers. They will work closely with you to optimise the effectiveness of your designs, fine tuning each design option until you are 100% happy with it. We thoroughly check all artwork we receive to ensure that it meets the exact specifications for imprinting your design onto your selected promotional keyring. Sometimes we may feel it would be beneficial to make minor adjustments or even to redraw your artwork, but this work is always carried out free of charge and only with your permission. Next, we will email you an artwork approval form, which should be carefully checked and returned to us before printing can commence. If you wish to make any changes to the artwork or the order, this is the time to tell us, as we are unable to accept any liability for errors once a job has been given your final signoff. If you have any questions about artwork modifications and the approval process, please contact one of our account managers.

Artwork Guidelines

It doesn’t really matter what format your artwork is in as we are pretty flexible here at Rocket Badge.

Our preferred option is an editable Adobe Illustrator .eps or .ai file, with all fonts converted to outlines and with all colours identified by their relevant pantone reference if appropriate. The artwork should be emailed directly to your account manager who will liaise with our design studio to prepare an artwork approval form. This will not only show you both the size and positioning of your logo, but usually includes a visual of how it will appear on the badge.

Don’t worry though if you are unable to provide us with an editable .eps or .ai file as we can also accept the following formats:

Adobe Illustrator CS3 or lower (file extension: .eps, .ai)

Adobe Photoshop CS3 or lower (file extension: .psd, .tiff, .bmp, .jpg, .gif)

Adobe Portable Document (file extension: .pdf)

Encapsulated PostScript Files (file extension: .eps, .ps, .prn)

Microsoft Word (file extension: .doc)

QuarkXpress 4 or lower (file extension: .qxd with all fonts and images supplied)

If you wish to send us large graphics, we can accept the following compression software:

Stuff-it (file extension: .SIT) – Mac (Download software)

WinRar (file extension: .rar) – PC (Download software)

Please note that there may be a small charge for this service and you will need to allow an extra 24 hours for us to prepare the artwork.

Studio and Artwork Assistance

Artwork can be sent to us in various formats as outlined below.

Electronic artwork (eps) files

We can accept artwork files in PC or Apple Mac format either in Adobe Illustrator (saved in version 8, 9, 10, CS and above) or in Macromedia Freehand, both as .eps, .ai or .fh files. All artwork supplied in this format should be vector based with artwork and fonts converted to paths to avoid any problems with fonts clashing. Any pantone spot colour splits should be clearly marked up. Artwork should be emailed directly to your account manager who will liaise with our studio to prepare an artwork approval form.

Other formats

As we have a fully equipped in-house design studio at Rocket Badge we can also accept artwork in other formats. Just email your account manager whatever you have, whether this is a jpg file, gif file, word document or even simply a link to your website. One of our highly trained badge designers and artworkers will then prepare the relevant artwork ready for your print run. There may be a small charge for this service and it usually takes up to 24 hours to prepare the artwork, depending on how complicated your logo or design is.

Copyrights and Trademarks

By submitting a design or artwork to Rocket Badge, you warrant and represent that you are the sole, legal owner or licensee of all rights, including copyright, to each copyright, trademark, service mark, trade name, logo, statement, portrait, graphic, artwork, photograph, picture or illustration of any person or any other intellectual property included in such design.

Further you warrant and represent that no part of the design: (1) violates or infringes upon any common law or statutory right of any person or entity, including, but not limited to, rights relating to copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, moral rights or rights of public performance; (2) is the subject of any notice of such infringement you have received; or (3) is subject to any restriction or right of any kind or nature whatsoever which would prevent Rocket Badge from legally reproducing the images, graphics or text supplied.

You agree to defend, at your sole expense, any claim, suit, or proceeding brought against Rocket Badge which relates to, or is based upon, a claim that any portion of the design infringes or constitutes wrongful use of any copyright, trademark, or other right of any third party, provided that Rocket Badge gives you written notice of any such claim and provides you such reasonable cooperation and assistance as you may require in the defence thereof. You shall pay any damages and costs assessed against Rocket Bags pursuant to such a suit or proceeding. Further, you agree to indemnify and hold Rocket Bags harmless from and with respect to any such loss or damage (including, but not limited to, reasonable legal fees and costs) associated with any such claim, suit or proceeding.

Minimum Orders

Our minimum order value for promotional badges is £350. Minimum order quantities are different from bag to bag and from manufacturer to manufacturer, but are shown within our pricing guide on the product pages where applicable. If you want fewer bags than the minimum order quantity shown, please discuss your requirements with one of our account managers. They may be able to arrange a shorter production run, although the unit cost will inevitably be higher, or recommend alternative bag options with lower minimum order quantities. Payment Details

Please read the following to see which payment terms apply to you.

Approved Accounts

Full payment is due within 30 days of our invoice date, unless you have agreed alternative payment terms with us in writing.

New Accounts

Our standard policy for new accounts is 100% payment by proforma. Only directors of Rocket Badge can approve any form of credit terms. If you have any questions or concerns about payment, please contact one of our account managers by clicking here.

Pre-Production Samples

You are able to ask for a pre-production sample when you place your order. This will be an actual sample of the promotional badge and, if requested, the sample can show an imprint of your logo or brand message as it will appear on the finished badge. A charge may be applicable, depending upon the bag, which we will tell you about in writing.

Following your approval of the pre-production sample, your order will go into full production in accordance with our standard delivery times unless different terms have been agreed by us in writing.

Any request for a delay or amendments to your order after a pre-production sample has been manufactured may result in additional charges or an extension of the leadtime.

Shipping Information

We will endeavour to make sure that your badges are delivered on time, but wish to remind you that all leadtimes or delivery dates are our best estimate only.


Leadtimes commence from the moment we receive your written signoff of our final artwork, not from the date of the order. Multiple deliveries
Rocket Badge ship from multiple factories throughout the UK, Europe and the Far East. If you have ordered a range of promotional bags your order may therefore be despatched from more than one location, meaning it will arrive in separate deliveries on different dates.
